Job Description
The VP of Operations oversees and manages the operational activities of the organization. This position works closely with the executive team, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President to develop and implement strategic plans to ensure efficient and effective operations across multiple dental practices within the DSO. This role will involve establishing and maintaining operational standards, optimizing workflow processes, and driving operational excellence. You will also be responsible for promoting a culture of high-quality patient care, team collaboration, and continuous improvement. This position in full time in person at our client’s HQ site in NY and requires the availability to travel across our 100+ locations.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and dental standards across all practices.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities for practice managers and staff.
  • Practice Operations Management:
  • Operational Strategy and Planning:
  • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to practice managers and staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor practice performance metrics, such as patient satisfaction, productivity, and profitability, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Financial Management:
  • Implement policies, protocols, and procedures to streamline operational processes across practices.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency improvements, and cost optimization within the DSO's operations.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop our operational strategy and long-term plans.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple dental practices within the DSO, ensuring adherence to operational standards and best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Train and mentor practice managers, assisting them in effectively managing their teams and improving performance.
  • Monitor and address patient feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Work with practice managers to optimize revenue cycle management and maximize revenue generation.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:


Preferred Education & Experience


  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in dental practice management or operations, preferably within a DSO or multi-location dental setting.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams.
  • Experience in managing minimum 15 regional managers
  • Strong knowledge of dental practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, and insurance processes.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
