The Role x You


Latino Media Network is seeking an inspiring, innovative, and strategic Vice President of National Sales to lead our sales efforts across the country and oversee the sales team.


Reporting into the future Chief Revenue Officer, as VP National Sales Multimedia Channel, you will work closely with other executives and departments within the company, such as marketing, programming, and finance, to ensure that the company's sales goals are aligned with overall business objectives. You will also be involved in negotiating contracts with clients and vendors, analyzing market trends, and staying up-to-date with industry developments.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership, as well a deep understanding of the multimedia (radio, audio, digital) industry and the latest trends and technologies. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills are also essential.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and vendors to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to increase revenue and achieve business objectives. Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and programming, to align sales efforts with the company's overall vision and goals.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the multimedia industry and incorporate them into sales strategies and plans. Attend industry conferences and events to stay informed and network with industry leaders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's reach and revenue streams. Analyze market trends and develop sales plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Manage the sales budget and allocate resources effectively to achieve maximum return on investment. Work closely with finance to ensure that sales goals are aligned with financial targets and objectives.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them. Use data to track progress and adjust sales plans as necessary to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales team and ensure that they are meeting their targets and goals. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to help team members grow professionally and achieve their potential.


You Have These


  • Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • The ability to analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent experience managing a sales team with the ability to provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to help team members grow professionally.
  • A proven track record of success in sales leadership, with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • A deep understanding of the multimedia industry (radio, audio, digital), including trends, technologies, and emerging opportunities.
  • Excellent problem solving skills to effectively identify problems and develop creative solutions to address them.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors, as well as collaborate effectively with other departments within the company.


We'd Love If You Also Have These:


  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or other is preferred
  • Master's degree a plus but not required
  • You have a passion for the Latinx community and its content, ideally audio. Bonus points if you're a current LMN listener!
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of the U.S. Latinx community, including its history and various communities.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Prior startup experience

Compensation:


An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of LMN's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, paid time off, and other benefits.


The annual base salary range for this position is between $150,000-$200,000 with the potential of additional performance based compensation.
