JOB DESCRIPTION
This position requires high proficiency in Spanish.
Under the supervision of the Family Reunification Manager, the bilingual Trafficking Survivors Program Case Manager is primarily responsible for the provision of Trafficking Victims Assistance Program (TVAP) contract services for foreign-born survivors of human trafficking receiving services through Inspiritus. As such they serve as an advocate on behalf of these individuals and, in the case of minor clients, the caregivers who provide direct care. This position supports program participants in their pursuit of HHS certification as a trafficking survivor and ensures participants are connected to appropriate legal representation to support a pathway to permanence in the US. This position will also regularly support other Inspiritus programs related to unaccompanied children and asylum seekers, including the Safe Release Support program conducting fingerprinting for sponsors of unaccompanied children.
Essential Functions
- Develops and strengthens relationships with relevant community partners, evaluating appropriateness of referrals to these partners and ensuring clients gain access to needed services.
- Connects participants to pro-bono immigration attorneys wherever possible and establishes and maintains a database of pro- or low-bono providers.
- Strives toward excellence in the areas of innovation, performance and extraordinary acts.
- Complies with the various federal, state or local laws that apply to and regulate the job responsibilities.
- Maintains accurate, current and complete service records according to established timelines, policies, procedures, funding sources, grants, and/or contracts.
- Provides funders’ contract deliverables to TVAP clients.
- Advocates for access and facilitates clients’ applications for public benefits including SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, or Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) when eligible.
- Participates in training, fundraising events and other Inspiritus activities and initiatives such as performance and quality improvement (PQI).
- Generates reports according to guidelines, requirements, and procedures including web-based portals and internal reporting procedures.
- Displays independence in working with families in various settings (i.e., in home, and community based).
- Carries an assigned case load and assists other Case Managers in providing services to individuals receiving services.
- Provides support to other programs in Refugee & Immigrant Services as needed, including providing coverage to the Safe Release Support fingerprinting program.
- Develops strong alliances and support within the service-providing agencies in the community. Advocates for the individuals receiving services and Inspiritus.
- Enters accurate, timelycase informationinto database system and can produce required reports in full compliance with all contractual requirements.
- Makes regular and contact and visits to the home, school, training site, or job of the individuals served.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Travel: Up to 50% regional (primarily Georgia) travel
Required Education and Experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of the practitioner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish.
- Must own a personal multi-passenger vehicle, hold a valid state-issued Driver’s license, have a good driving record, and have appropriate personal auto insurance.

- Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Excellent computer skills, accurate typing, and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in education or human services-related or education field and minimum of two years of previous direct work experience in youth and/or human services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have the ability to communicate with all persons in a culturally competent manner.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with human services programs and a comprehensive understanding of addressing holistic needs.
- Familiarity with US Immigration system and particularly the legal pathways for unaccompanied children and survivors of trafficking.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- Familiarity with US and local school system policies, social services programs, and public benefits programs.
