We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our growing Pool & Spa business, managing the Orange County territory in Los Angeles, CA! You will own your territory and sell Pentair’s highly successful products & brands, including pool filtration systems, pumps, heaters, automation systems, and more. You will sell primarily through authorized distributors, professional dealers, and pool installers/servicers, effectively utilizing marketing programs and promotional material, leveraging field resources, and providing technical product trainings.
This posting is for one territory sales role and ideal candidates will be located anywhere in or near Orange County, CA).
You will:
  • Manage and grow assigned Pentair businesses by identifying and nurturing new and existing key relationships with channel partners, including pool distributors, builders, dealers, as well as service and retail customers.
  • Regularly call on end-users in assigned area, ultimately driving end-user conversions.
  • Develop and utilize a strong technical understanding of our products across the entire professional channel / portfolio to address customer needs and promote brand awareness and preference among our distributor partners.
  • Influence sales of Pentair products and services by holding regular technical presentations, training seminars, and/or providing on-site support.
Key Qualifications:
  • Have earned a bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) degree preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, meet difficult deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to sell our pool equipment, such as pumps, filters, heaters, lights, and automation systems.
  • Have 3+ years’ professional sales experience, with a proven ability to grow sales from identification of customer to execution of contract or sales order.
  • High energy, self-starter, and goal oriented. Eager to meet and exceed goals and targets.
Travel:
  • If you live in the territory, most of your travel will be day travel (home at night) to visit dealers, distributors, customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings. Some overnight (10-12 nights/year) travel will be required for tradeshows, events, conferences, and other business-related needs.
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $90500 - $168100 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, performance and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may also be adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
