We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Representative to join our growing Residential Water Treatment Wholesale Distribution sales team, focused on strategic accounts in the Western U.S. territory. This global business manufactures residential and commercial water treatment products and components. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the revenue growth of Pentair water treatment products sold through authorized distributor partners. You will also work alongside Key Account Managers to execute distribution and dealer strategies that drive new sales and share growth through our buying groups and national partners.
You will:
  • Partner with manufacturing representatives across the western to drive specification and preference of Pentair products with wholesale customers and strategic accounts within large buying groups.
  • Develop and execute annual account plans that that increase top line revenue, augment Pentair water treatment solutions specification, and improve return on sales.
  • Deliver results in achievement of sales quota with assigned regional and national accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships built on mutual trust, respect and cooperation with direct customers and channel partners.
  • Coordinate all sales activities to solve business needs utilizing product strategies, while communicating customer requirements with other departments such as marketing, manufacturing, engineering, and materials.
Key Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate multiple and varied kinds of relationships, both internally and externally to the organization.
  • Have 2+ years of professional outside sales experience selling finished goods / tangible products to strategic accounts and/or large buying groups representing multiple distributors and/or dealers.
  • Ability to effectively utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) software for lead generation and documentation.
  • Have earned a bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) degree.
Travel:
  • 50-75% overnight travel to strategic accounts, distributors, dealers, customers within the buying groups, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings.
This posting is for one territory sales position. Candidates can be located anywhere in the western U.S. region. For CA candidates, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $67300 - $125000 / year. For all other candidates within this region, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, performance and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may also be adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
