Burros can be described as Disney's Wall-E for agriculture and work outdoors, in a 1.0 format. They function, today, as computer vision based autonomous ground vehicles for carrying, towing, and scouting, and are designed to lay the base for the fully autonomous future of work outdoors. We have a growing triple digit fleet deployed in paid commercial use within vineyards, nurseries, berries, and beyond, and demand for our product is accelerating, so we are growing our team.
Burro is looking to find a highly motivated and dedicated sales professional with excellent communication skills, financial competence, and ability to quickly engage with customers and establish relationships. The candidate thrives in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments and when faced with increasingly sophisticated challenges, readily provides well supported solutions. This role is crucial to Burro’s building and expanding on the successes of recent years.
Reporting to the VP of Growth, the Territory Sales Manager will work closely with the Sales, Marketing & Support Teams in locating new opportunities, qualifying new business opportunities, presenting BURRO solutions to the decision-makers, and closing sales within the target organizations.
Responsibilities
- Qualify prospects in accordance with sales process, identify key contacts, estimate closing time frame, and deal value
- Be the market expert, provide vital direct market feedback
- Forecast and close large multiyear hardware & SaaS contracts
- Close an average of four multi-unit Burro account sales per month
- Prospecting for new opportunities – locate, research target prospects
- Diligent input of sales activity in CRM database
- Maintain a pipeline that generates a minimum of 200 Burro sales per calendar year
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
- Tenacious, creative and persuasive prospector
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn and operate multiple CRM/Prospecting tools like Hubspot, LinkedIn Navigator, zoominfo
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- An inherent desire to be part of a team of trailblazers in a high growth environment
- 5+ years of consultative sales experience selling direct to customer with demonstrated adherence to sales strategy and consistent delivery to stated objectives
- Travel required (20-40%)
- Agricultural sales background required with preference to large fruit, berry and nursery environments
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business Management
