Job Description

The Opportunity

Join our Business Development team as a dynamic Technical Sales Representative for the Central US, where you will create new business relationships, identify sales opportunities, and present Trimark's solutions for utility-scale renewable power generation SCADA systems, metering, and ongoing Operations and Maintenance support in response to client needs. You will facilitate Trimark's continued growth by leveraging your electrical utility knowledge, ability to build and establish partnerships, and develop and execute sales strategies.

The Team

You will work collaboratively with our experienced Sales and Business Development team members distributed across the US and at our corporate HQ in Folsom, CA. You will also partner with our experienced Program Managers and Engineers as they identify opportunities with existing clients.

The Environment

This is a flex-based role. Travel throughout the Central US to visit clients, job sites, and tradeshows is required. You will also work periodically with our HQ team in Folsom, CA, and travel to Trimark offices and clients around the country.

You will make a direct impact on the growth and future of Trimark by establishing and nurturing partnerships in the renewable utility markets. You will work alongside top talents delivering premier technical solutions with the opportunity to be instrumental in our continued growth.

Your Key Contributions

  • Provide regular reports to executive management highlighting successes and challenges and future sales expectations
  • Analyze competitors, markets, and technology trends
  • Impact profitability by developing new business development successes
  • Develop and understand customers current and future goals
  • Travel to customer locations for business meetings and to deliver presentations of our solutions and services.
  • Identify, develop, and sell Trimark products and services to Owners, Developers, EPCs, and Utilities
  • Collaborate on the planning and implementation of new product and program launches
  • Support marketing staff with creating efficient and effective marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
  • Build strategic alliances with key businesses partners
  • Maintain and develop organizational culture, values, and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies

Traits for Success

  • Successful record of engaging companies where no relationship exists to gain audience with key executives and purchasing decision makers, developing, and maintaining client relationships
  • Minimum five (5) years electric utility industry systems and software sales experience, electrical contracting, or consulting
  • Technically advanced and oriented
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or closely related field. Additional work experience in the renewable energy industry may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Natural ability to engage in business relationships with individuals and groups
  • Knowledge of power generation, engineering concepts as applied to electric utility, and communications technologies
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Strong group facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and project/time management skills
  • Experience with complex engineering and consulting engagements with long business relationship life cycles
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Regular travel to client sites required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and in an autonomous manner, utilizing a proactive approach to achieve results
  • Ability to actively listen to client requirements and convey to Trimark's technical and marketing teams
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this position is $110,000-165,000/annually plus earned commission. This is an overtime Exempt position. Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications. This is a Full Time opportunity.
