Technical Service Representative Jobs

Bluewater Hayes is a nationally recognized search firm focusing on Technically Oriented value add placements for companies throughout North America. We are currently working with an award-winning coatings manufacturer with multiple manufacturing locations, company owned stores, and distribution centers throughout the U.S. They have retained us to assist in their search for a Technical Service Representative for their Industrial Coatings Division. The purpose of this position is to provide technical support to the field sales team in order to increase account growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Communicate competitive information, new products and selling issues

• Manage product test runs, color matching, tinting, mixing and assist with equipment installations

• Assist sales reps in calling on prospective customers/target accounts; provide technical support for product demos as directed, and prepare samples, panels, etc. for presentations

• Maintain contact with the Laboratory and Product Management Teams on current technical issues.

• Evaluate product complaints and decide best way to resolve problem.

• Role is remote based, with approximate 40-50% travel as needed to customers.

Qualifications:

• Prefer a bachelor’s degree in a chemistry or business-related field.

• Technical experience within the coatings industry (liquid industrial coatings).

• Industrial Coatings experience and/or knowledge preferred
