TELEWORK/ON-SITE OPPORTUNITY

This position is eligible for a combination of telework and on-site work assignments. Telework must be completed from a pre-designated home-based location within the State of California and employees may be required to report on-site to address business needs.
Telework is at the sole discretion of the Court and may be rescinded with 48 hours' notice, based on needs of the Orange County Superior Court.
THE POSITION
The Orange County Superior Court is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to work with hiring managers to develop innovative recruiting strategies. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively identify, recruit, screen and engage top talent, especially in the areas of Information Technology and Court Reporting.
The Technical Recruiter will serve as the initial point of contact for potential employees. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering a superior candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The Technical Recruiter must be willing to learn and keep up to date with the latest technological and stenographic developments.

Examples of Duties

Duties of the classification may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the technical role requirements and how they align with court and department goals.
  • Source and screen candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, job/school fairs, niche platforms, and professional networks; may participate in technology conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals.
  • Develop strategies to attract the best candidates; and develop a short list or pipeline of candidates that have met the requirements of the recruitment and selection process.
  • Conduct phone screens and/or assessments to evaluate candidates’ technical skills and experience.
  • Manage the candidate experience, including scheduling interviews and extending offers while keeping candidates interested in the Orange County Superior Court.
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates; write and post recruitment bulletins.
  • Guide hiring managers and candidates through the merit-based recruitment and selection process.
  • Keep up-to-date with new trends and innovations in the fields of technology and court reporting.

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a closely related field, plus a minimum of six (6) years of full-time (or equivalent) experience in Human Resources or a closely related recruiting field OR three (3) years of full-time (or equivalent) experience working as a Human Resources Specialist with the Orange County Superior Court.
SUBSTITUTION:
Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience sourcing technology/IT positions.
  • Experience using a variety of network platforms and applicant tracking systems.
  • Some experience with full-cycle merit-based recruitment techniques.

  • Step 3: Those candidates who are successful in the review/assessment may be placed on the eligible list. Placement on the eligible list is not a guarantee of interview or employment.
  • Step 1: Applications will be reviewed to identify candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and/or desirables; those candidates will be referred to step 2 in the selection process.
