In the US, TTE Renewables has 25GW of renewable wind & solar portfolio.
TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC is seeking Technical Projects Manager(s)(TPM) to serve as a regional representative on Distributed Generation (“DG”) solar projects through procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations. This position is located on the East Coast of the United States. The successful candidate will be the primary in-field liaison with customers, direct subcontractors/consultants and EPC partners responsible for the offsite and onsite project management and inspections of power generation facilities with estimated project values from $5M to $75M USD. The TPM is responsible to ensure adherence to project technical requirements, product and project quality standards, program schedule, and project specific-corporate safety goals. The TPM will provide advisory services for one or a portfolio of projects by direct onsite inspection or through leading management of specialized directly hired subcontractors for infield quality, safety inspections, and administrative-construction auditing throughout the construction phase. The role will report indirectly to the Project Executive and closely collaborate with other project stakeholders as may be required from project inception to project completion. Candidate is responsible for overall project construction scope, schedule, cost, and risk management. This position may require up to 25-50 % field-based work (adjusted as needed).
Accountabilities:
- Management and coordination of solar and storage installation and commissioning of critical equipment: MV and LV switchgear, transformers, Inverters, SCADA, and controls.
- Contract and Construction administration
- Roof assemblies- structural characteristics, roofing membranes, and warranty considerations.
- Structural assembly, foundations (CIP/Driven), steel erection best practices (ground or fixed), and panel rack mounting and panelization systems.
- Ground mounted photovoltaic systems and related civil works.
- Site operations and issue management with an expertise resolving/mitigating issues related to design, logistics, and schedule.
- Project and construction management best practices related to electrical design, CPM schedule, QA/QC, and site safety programs.
Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
- 5-10 years of Project Development, Project Management, Commercial Construction, Design/Build management, Electrical Construction, and/or combination thereof.
- Experience with working with Utilities and navigating interconnection issues and methodology.
- BS Electrical Engineering or Construction Management Degree, or equivalent level of related experience preferred.
- CPR certification, a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability drive interaction with multi-disciplinary team members with emphasis on successfully communicating complex technical issues to non-technical personnel. Strong technical, supervisory, and project management skills based on construction industry experience. Familiarity with construction and electrical codes.
- Ability to lead by example, logical problem-solving skills, works well in team environment, balance multiple/changing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project is required.
- Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship from TE
- At least 10 years of renewable energy experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership and strategic skills with an ability to balance and prioritize competing interests. Ability to work in and direct team focus to reach end goal.
- Fall protection certification, a plus.
- Must reside on the East Coast of the United States
- OSHA 30 certification, a plus.
- NABCEP Installer certification, a plus.
