Are you a resourceful and organized individual with a passion for data analysis and compliance? We are seeking a Statistical Reporting Business Analyst to join our dedicated Compliance team, reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer. As a key player in our organization, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring complete and accurate data to meet regulatory and statistical reporting requirements for multiple insurance companies and MGA's. Your expertise in data transformation and analysis will be instrumental in achieving our compliance objectives and enhancing our internal business reporting.
In This Role, You'll Have The Opportunity To
Create essential statistical and financial reports mandated by state insurance departments for various Warrior Insurance Group companies.
Complete and submit assigned NISS, TICO, NAIC, state, and annual verifications promptly and efficiently.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of complex regulatory bulletins to keep us ahead of the compliance curve.
Act as a liaison with insurance regulators and examiners through written, verbal, and in-person interactions.
Provide valuable guidance on statistical reporting to colleagues and third-party providers.
Collaborate with teams such as Accounting, Claims, Underwriting, Marketing, and Product Analysis to generate internal business reports.
Work under the guidance of experienced analysts to revamp and maintain existing applications while developing innovative new ones from scratch.
What We're Looking For In Our Ideal Candidate
A minimum of 4 years of personal auto P&C insurance experience.
A degree in Computer/Data Science/Accounting Systems or equivalent work experience.
Expert proficiency in SQL with the ability to configure and integrate multiple data sources seamlessly.
Advanced skills in Excel and spreadsheet management.
Willingness to utilize MS Access as an integration and end-user application tool through pass-through queries to multiple SQL Server and Redshift DB's.
Experience with Looker and LookML is considered a plus.
Technical insurance knowledge and a general understanding of insurance company operations for Personal Auto.
Familiarity with business intelligence software/analytics platforms.
Demonstrated success in effective communication, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
Flexibility to work in either an office environment or remotely.
