Position Overview
As an essential first point of contact for [Company Name], the Medical Intake/Data Entry role plays a pivotal role in supporting the Utilization Review Department. Key responsibilities include collecting intake information, creating electronic patient files, and handling the sorting and mailing of certification letters.
Specific Duties
Answer the Utilization Review line and direct calls to the appropriate personnel; manage voicemail and transfer messages to the appropriate nurse.
Gather demographic information to create patient files.
Print, mail, fax, and duplicate correspondence as needed.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
We are open to training highly motivated individuals with a customer-focused mindset.

Eligibility for quarterly bonuses.
This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule—no weekends or nights.

Paid time off.
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, with an hourly shift differential.
After a successful training period, we offer a hybrid schedule: two days per week remote work, with the requirement to work in the office five days a week during the training period.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Courses in computers, medical terminology, data entry, word processing, and secretarial training are desirable.
Skills: Proficiency in computers, database data entry, word processing, and multi-line telephone systems. Being bilingual is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience: At least one year of professional office experience, with prior experience in a healthcare environment.
Personal Qualifications: A helpful and friendly telephone demeanor. Strong proofreading skills for accurate document review. Precise data entry abilities. Effective organizational skills to manage a diverse range of tasks, as directed by the assigned URA Team Leader. Capability to collaborate with various professional staff members and provide clerical support as required. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
