Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager of Raw Materials is responsible for the procurement of raw materials and utilities for the company. This position has the responsibility to oversee the planning and procurement of raw materials, utilities, and other items as required by the company.
This position will be a Hybrid Remote position (2 days per week in the office/ 3 days per week remote).
Responsibilities:
- Identify and address potential supply chain disruptions proactively.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements. Ensure fair pricing and favorable contract terms, mitigating risks and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking expenses and optimizing spending.
- Limited travel of 10%-15%
- Provide direction, evaluate performance, and facilitate the development of dedicated professionals in the Raw Materials Group
- Develop and execute plans and strategies to meet company needs.
- Develop and execute effective procurement strategies, ensuring the availability of raw materials while achieving cost savings and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the raw material supply chain.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership skills.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 8 years of petrochemical feedstock, hydrocarbon raw material, and/or energy procurement.
- BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, or Sourcing or a relevant degree
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience leading an organization or team.
- Strategic and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum 8-15 years of experience at a mid-sized Chemical or Oil/Natural Gas related company.
- Accomplished strategist and negotiator with demonstrated success in situations where suppliers may possess greater leverage.
