Job Description
Responsibilities


  • Work with the Sr. Program Director on developing a plan for assigned projects across the program.
  • Develop best practices with the Program Director, focused on transitioning new clients into the organization and building repeatable processes to support growth.
  • Develop the organization’s readiness for new implementations and transitions.
  • Responsible for project sponsor’s satisfaction with the project’s delivery and functionality.
  • Responsible for ensuring projects follow standard project development methodology and conform to IT-defined standards for security and technical architecture.
  • Review and understand the business goals (tactical and strategic) and then drive the development and implementation of business solutions.
  • Manage project performance (e.g., delivery on commitments, quality, responsiveness, reliability) and financial performance expectations (e.g., business case).
  • Manage and maintain good communication across team members, leadership, and stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Actively manage the work efforts of functional resources throughout the project plan and manage project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning.
  • Act as a focal point for assigned project-related activities.
  • Maintain awareness and oversight of project activities through proper status reporting to ensure a timely resolution of project execution issues including changes in scope, quality/reliability matters, and resource constraints.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with Solution Development, Solution Operations, and business sponsors.
  • Drive projects to optimize business processes and develop a business architecture framework for continuous improvement.
  • Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology to capture the key views of the enterprise.
  • Participate in business development activities associated with the growth of the business units including due diligence and collaborating on responses for RFI.


Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience architecting Life Insurance solutions.
  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • 6+ years of experience in transition programs, from carrier to a TPA.
  • 6+ years of experience in Business Architecture of transition programs, from carrier to a TPA.
  • Extensive experience in planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
  • Experience as Business Architect for large programs.
  • Experience working with IT delivery teams to set direction on business solutions, specifically in enterprise solutions including workflow, images, business process automation, and deployment of surround solutions.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology or Scrum Framework.
  • The ability to act as liaison to convey the information needs of the Business to IT, as well as data constraints to the Business; applying equal conveyance regarding Business strategy and IT strategy, Business process and workflow automation, Business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the Life Insurance vertical.
  • Exceptional communication skills including the ability to connect appropriately with all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications, as well as visualizations.
  • Ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
