The Senior Technical Project Manager is a working hands-on role, fully owning the delivery of strategic business projects. They guide and direct project activities in the IT departments at UW Continuum College (UWC²), establishing performance management baselines and managing for scope, cost, schedule, quality, risks, and change control. The role works collaboratively with IT and other functional management to staff each project, assigning and delegating work assignments appropriately. The Senior Technical Project Manager collaborates closely with UWC² business groups, as well as UW schools, colleges, and administrative units to support the development, implementation and maintenance of on-line student services systems, internet applications, and systems to provide financial reporting to senior university administrators.
The successful candidate will possess proven impact, influence, technical and project management skills. They will demonstrate effective budgeting, analysis, project management, change management, risk assessment and quality assurance acumen, and build collaborative relationships with diverse individuals and teams across the University. They should be comfortable communicating clearly and working effectively with stakeholders at every level of the organization. They will demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to shifts in business strategy and priorities, project tactics, team capabilities, and organizational maturity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or related field OR has equivalent experience AND 3-4 or more years of experience to include:
Senior project management experience with web projects as well as complex, interactive web applications and their system integration.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects to successful completion with a combined team size of 8 or more people.
Recognized expertise managing projects with both traditional waterfall and Agile project management approaches as appropriate to the situation
Successful end-to-end implementation of projects utilizing commercially available software products.
Experience delivering to an IT strategic roadmap with constrained resources.
Experience planning and facilitating adoption of process changes through engagement with stakeholders and end-users.
Familiar with documentation and project management tools such as: MS Teams, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.
A successful candidate may also have:
PMI or equivalent certification.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Deep understanding of ProSci ADKAR or other change management model.
Prior experience as a software developer, tester, engineer, or business analyst.
Ownership of projects with budgets of $250,000 or more.
