Title: Sr. Purchasing Manager, Raw Material

Develop and execute plans and strategies to meet company needs.

Proven leadership capabilities and experience applying GMP requirements in a Quality Control setting.

Responsible for activities including analytical testing, data management and trend analysis, laboratory investigations, and change control in a dynamic team environment.

Collaborate cross functionally as needed to ensure the Quality Management System processes are implemented in accordance with established procedures.

Support internal/external audits and inspections as part of the audit/inspection management team.

Strong knowledge and understanding of GMP pharmaceutical production and associated testing methods experience.

Knowledge and experience with Quality Control testing and GMP laboratory operations for common pharmacopeia testing methods and associated equipment.

10+ years of experience in a Raw Materials, Planning, Operations, Textiles, or Project Management role preferably within a Sourcing organization.

Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to Executive Leadership teams.

Working directly with raw material suppliers on capacity planning, unlocks, capabilities, and strategic implementation of fabric and yarn positioning.

Manage fabric ownership and work with mills to strategically position and project on core fabrications and yarn.

Reporting out on raw material lead-times and speed capabilities

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the apparel/ textile industry.

Ability to pass the Industrial Power Truck licensing requirements

Isolate nonconforming material according to documented procedures.

Install and remove the rotary boiler head.

Receive incoming bales on the second and third shifts.

Maintain records of inventory and enter bale usage into computer.

Dispose of burnable waste to the compactor.

• S&OP Step 3 Supply Chain Management Review: Material Supply Viability and Risk Mitigation Planning

• MRP System Implementation Experience a strong plus

• 6-8 years of relevant hands-on CPG planning experience Required

• Development, maintenance, and communication of the rolling 12-month Material Forecast by supplier

• Development, maintenance, and communication of the operational MRP plan for Ghost Procurement

• Business Intelligence and KPI Development, Trend Analysis, Safety Stock Target Development / Adherence

B.S in biological sciences or other relevant field of study or equivalent experience in commercial raw materials management.

Minimum 1-2 years people management experience

Hire, manage and develop team members within the Quality Raw Material group.

Collaborate with project teams and assist in defining qualification plan for raw materials

Experience working within a GMP regulated industry, cell therapy is plus

Experience in authoring, reviewing, and/or approving cGMP documents

General knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management

Knowledge and/or experience in material control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations and transportation or logistics

Assisting Buyer in purchasing duties as needed including rejections, quality requirements, cost improvements and quotation evaluation.

Associate degree and minimum of 3 years of experience within a logistics, purchasing, or supply chain related role

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills

Experience in purchasing, material management or related role

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Strong M3 experience and knowledge (desirable).

Manage the Purchasing & Raw Materials team and associated activities of the team.

Manage the communication process with internal and external stakeholders and facilitate solutions.

Provide support to quality control and production teams in relation to any quality issues and manage the communications/solutions with the supplier.

8+ years of retail planning, inventory management, financial planning and / or production planning experience.

5+ years of management experience

Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and/or related planning, finance or analytical systems.

Must have experience working in best-in-class fabric/trim manufacturing – knitting, dyeing, finishing, printing

Support in defining and reporting out on raw material lead-times and speed capabilities of RM supply base

Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, business, or supply chain preferred.
