Job Description
The Director, Project Management Operations is a strategic manager to help support the Project Management Department. Working in close contact with the VPs, National Accounts, this person is instrumental in onboarding and training new employees for Project Management. Additionally, this person will act as a liaison between the PM Department and other departments within the company, while working hand-in-hand with the VPs, National Accounts to develop strategic direction for the department, manage resource allocation/scheduling, and budgeting, as well as update training methodologies


Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and seven or more years of experience in a similar role; experience in the trade show/events industry is required. They should have strong communication, budgeting, and organizational skills and be comfortable prioritizing projects and responsibilities.


We’re Looking For Someone Who Can


  • Manage the schedule on assignments, changes to shows, additions of shows and providing the correct support based on the needs of the events, while simultaneously looking forward to what needs are required now for business in the future.
  • Onboard and train all new employees in the Project Management department, including new hires and internal transfers.
  • Create training tools and SOPs and revising them when required, while updating the department with changes and training as needed.
  • Manage a team of various roles from administrators and travel assistants to Project Coordinators. Assigning these resources to the various PM teams when needed and based on scope.
  • Work with the Project Management, Sales and Finance team to assist with budgeting for shows and events
