Hanover Research – Senior Business Development Director, Corporate/Enterprise
Arlington, VA
Remote Opportunity

The Senior Business Development Director consults senior-level executives about how research can transform B2B and B2C companies. A highly motivated sales professional can use their knowledge of market trends and Hanover’s market research capabilities to craft compelling solutions and generate revenue for the company while maximizing personal earning potential.
Our Senior Business Development Directors play a critical role driving the growth and expansion of our firm. They are passionate about the markets we serve and are dedicated to high-performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as a mentor to entry-level associates
  • Accurately forecast based upon realistic opportunity assessment
  • Manage a robust pipeline of prospects
  • As Sr, Business Development Director your quota will range from $1.1MM - $1.8MM and is based on individuals experience, territory, time of year, along with other discretionary factors
  • Consult with prospects to identify challenges and issues impacting Enterprise executives
  • Educate prospects on solutions offered by Hanover’s unique products and services
  • Meet challenging monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
  • Deliver polished presentations by phone and in-person that move opportunities from introduction to close
Qualifications:
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage a busy pipeline and meeting calendar
  • Well-developed ability to ask probing questions and match solutions to prospects’ challenges
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, social sciences, education, communications, political science, economics, psychology, public policy preferred)
  • 4-7+ years of consultative sales experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation

Hanover Research strives to create compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, equitable and fair. The On Target Earning (OTE) range for this role is $167,000- $271,000 per year, which is comprised of a base salary range from $90,000- $145,000 and a variable uncapped commission structure ranging from $77,000 - $126,000 when goal is 100% obtained for this role. Please note that the base salary offered is contingent on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our base pay range is determined by the role and the market.
