United Land Services (ULS) is a full-service landscaping Company. At United, we offer an all-inclusive suite of commercial landscape installation and maintenance services, including but not limited to landscape design and maintenance, irrigation systems, hardscapes, and outdoor lighting. Whether a single-family home development, condominium complex, commercial building, or shopping center, we handle it all.


The Regional Manager is responsible for the overall financial and operations of their regional markets including the direction of sales activities, leading daily operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Regional Manager provides leadership and direction to ensure that branches goals are met in the areas of client satisfaction, retention, profitability, adherence to policy, and financial objectives. All duties will be performed based on professional training and experience under the direction of the Vice President of Maintenance Operations.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Establish United Land Services best practices, policies, and procedures throughout the region.
  • Represent the company along with Business Development team at trade shows, association meetings, and other functions.
  • Growth and Development of the assigned market.
  • Lead business development efforts, with the support of current and future business developers.
  • Work with branch teams to establish long-term client relationships with clients and with vendors throughout the region to maximize service delivery and purchasing opportunities.
  • Define, develop, and execute a three-year growth plan for each branch location and any future regional acquisitions, satellite locations, or branch opening goals.
  • Identify, target, and develop relationships with commercial landscape maintenance clients to promote United Land Services recognition throughout the region.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Work with branch teams on operational efficiencies and synergy opportunities.
  • Utilize expertise and relationships in the market to maximize the potential of sales opportunities across the region.
  • Support Branch Managers on daily operational decisions to maximize gross and net profit returns.


Supervisory & Operational Authority:


  • Direct reports will vary by branch.


Compliance:


  • Ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory training classes.
  • Ensures direct reports have completed mandatory training classes.


Requirements


Required/ Preferred Experience:


Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Project Management, Business Management or closely related field and a minimum of 8 years landscaping or related industry experience to include at least five years progressive leadership experience. Must have a current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record. An equivalent combination of related training and experience may substitute for degree requirement.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Committed to customer service and satisfaction.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
  • Previous experience with Aspire.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate extended needs of the business, as may be required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • 5 years prior Branch Management experience preferred.
  • 5+ years Landscape management and operations experience required.
  • Prior business and sales development experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new system and programs.


Physical Demands: While this role involves working from a desk part of the time, when conducting site visits, physical demands may require constantly moving, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling when performing installation or repair of equipment. May need to stand and walk, lift and/or move up to 50 to over 100 lbs. with assistance. Performs repetitive motion.
