Job Description
Overview


The Solution s Delivery Manager (SDM) serves as the senior technical leader for client implementations . R esponsibilities include collecting, evaluating, and disseminating technical design requirements. The SDM works closely with the Sales Engineering, I mplementation E ngineering , and P roject M anagement teams to architect fully functioning design s based on TierPoint standards . The ideal candidate will posses s extensive customer service experience and a diverse technical skillset with an expert level focus in Networking, Virtualization, or Security.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct TierPoint solution review s with customer s to generate complete design documents for implementation
  • Collaborate with Sales , Product Technology, Implementation , and Leadership Teams delivering customer solutions
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely communications to customers and project management
  • Provide technical oversight as required during the implementation life cycle of projects
  • Coordinate with Product Technology to resolve design questions and infrastructure deviations to support implementations
  • Maintain a strong and diverse technical skillset to match the solutions offered by TierPoint
  • Through TierPoint Core Values provide superior internal and external customer service
  • Design managed services solutions to meet customer needs while adhering to TierPoint and industry best practices and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements


  • In-depth working knowledge of managed service s solution s
  • A bility to manage multiple projects with changing priorities and requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences effectively
  • Disaster Recovery technologies , including configuration on Zerto, EMC RP4VM, or Leap
  • Expert level understanding in at least one of the below categories
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , including Visio
  • Maintain adequate professional knowledge to perform job responsibilities
  • D isplay great attention to detail
  • Networking technologies , including the configuration o f Nexus or Arista platforms
  • P ossess initiative with strong analytical, decision-making , and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast - moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with demanding deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Strong understanding in the areas of data center and managed hosting services
  • Security technologies , including the configuration o f Fortigate, NSX, or ASA firewalls
  • Virtualization technologies , including the configuration o f VMware, Nutanix, or VXrail
  • Ability to work both independently and with teams


Preferred Experience


  • Experience in Managed Service Migrations, Networking, Load Balancing, Virtualization, Storage , Backup technologies, Security , and Disaster Recovery solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree, or six years of recent industry-specific experience with a focus on Network, Virtualization , or Security technologies
  • Experience supporting or designing large scale data center environments
  • Experience in Private Cloud and Multi-Tenant data center solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of TierPoint products, services , and policies
  • Prior data center industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years direct customer implementation and/or technical governance experience
  • Hold or be willing to attain relevant industry certifications (CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CCDP, NSE, VCA, VCP, VCDX, NCP, etc.)
