Social Media Video Content

What is the role?

The Social Media Video Content will be instrumental in ideating, creating, and maintaining new and creative video content to reach potential travelers. Candidates should have a strong knowledge and understanding of the social media landscape, with a specific focus on creating engaging video content. This role will work closely and report to the Social Media Specialist.

Responsibilities include:

• Help analyze the effectiveness of content through analytics
• Developing, editing, and executing video content ideas for Instagram Reels, Youtube, and TikTok
• Review and upload traveler photos
• Assist in organizing Pack Up + Go’s digital content library, including photos and videos
• Researching strategies on different social media platforms to help with diversifying our content to grow engagement, shares, and saves
• Answer direct messages and comments from social media channels through Sprout Social
• Generating thoughtful and effective social media content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest
• Creating content and marketing materials when needed on Canva

Who are we looking for?

• Pack Up + Go is looking for a self-starter who will work remotely, manage their time efficiently, and absolutely loves marketing
• Preferred Majors: Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications/Media Studies, Journalism, Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration + Management
• Bonus Skills: Photography, videography, editing, statistical Excel experience, Adobe Suite
• Candidate must absolutely love social media, branding, video content, and marketing
• Strong knowledge of social media trends and relevant platforms
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable both working well individually and in a team environment, when given project goals and creative guidelines

Additional Details:

• Candidates should be prepared to commit to a part-time schedule, 15 - 20 hours per week.
• The start date for this role is September 5, 2023, and will last 14 weeks.
• It will be the responsibility of the Social Media Video Content Intern to have their own computer and work agreed-upon hours and plan accordingly to ensure timely delivery of materials as determined by the Social Media Specialist .
• Candidate must be based in the United States.
• This role will be compensated $1,500 for the duration of the semester.
• This role will have flexible hours but will be expected to work with the Social Media Specialist to define consistent hours during the 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time working day
