This role will support our Experian Software Solutions (ESS) business. ESS is responsible for building an innovative and market leading global portfolio of software products, focused on Analytics, Decisioning and Fraud use cases. ESS software unlocks the value of data for our clients.


This is a US based, 100% remote position.



This Vice President of Finance role provides end to end management and insight of our technology, product development and innovation cost base to drive world class products efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the CFO of ESS, there is significant growth potential in this role, given scope of transformation and culture shift to be delivered. Beyond the current role, future steps are likely to be a Business Unit CFO or Technology CFO.


Responsibilities


  • Develop a deep understanding of the Company’s business, including its risks, opportunities, and competitive environment
  • Develop and maintain framework for service costing and charging ensuring confidence and transparency across all stakeholders
  • Manage drafting and submission of Strategic Projects Committee (SPC) to appropriate Experian management based on delegation of authority
  • Proactively assist in workforce management strategy between onshore vs. offshore and FTE vs. contractor mix
  • Develop thought leadership in establishing SaaS KPIs and measurement to ensure strong return on investment of our Product Development spend
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions
  • Ensure technology, product development and innovation achieve financial targets with funding aligned to highest value priorities to support its strategic agenda
  • Develop and deliver high quality financial analysis, insights and long range planning to enable management to make appropriate decisions and help steer the organization
  • Build and strengthen constructive and relationships with all regional stakeholders and internal partners
  • Support the finance organization to ensure it has necessary skills to deliver high quality results
  • Create unit metrics on cost to serve and product costing to aid in product profitability analytics
  • Support capital committee for ESS by streamlining capital approval process, develop quarterly reporting and recommendations for ESS leadership team


Qualifications


  • Experience in supporting M&A activities, specifically undertaking financial due diligence associated with acquisition of software companies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and partnership skills across ESS and global finance
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with proven experience in building and developing global teams
  • Extensive experience in preparing and analyzing multi-year strategic financial plans
  • Extensive experience leading financial management in a complex global, matrixed organization
  • 10+ years professional experience preferably within a SaaS or software company
  • Proactive, positive, innovative operating style and approach in an ambiguous environment
  • Proven ability to optimize strategy and results through driving influence, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Experience in an IT or technology related financial management role


Success Measures for the Role


  • Drive higher return on capital investments as well as improvement in our product development spend as a percentage of revenue
  • Develop and maintain strong and mutually supportive relationships with regional stakeholders, to ensure joint objectives are achieved
  • Play a key role in leading Experian through next phase of growth, leveraging appropriate change management practices and skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
