SVP/Chief Sales and Marketing Officer - DME

Lead and build a Regional DME supplier in the Mid Atlantic with strong existing business and plans to grow nationally!
Our client, an established 50+ year old DME organization is hiring for the position of SVP/Chief Marketing Officer. The role is to establish a sales team, initially in 3 states, DC, VA, and MD and manage all marketing efforts (both digitally and traditional).
Target market: The target market is referral sources, hospitals, rehab centers, wound care centers, nonprofit healthcare organizations, independent medical practices, assisted living and nursing home facilities, and medium size medical practices.
Categories: Our client is a full-service medical supply, with branches in DC and MD, expansion is underway to other states.
States: MD, VA and DC
Responsibilities: CMO is responsible for establishing a position for our client in the current demographic. The VP will work, hands-on in developing relationships, as well as hiring and training a sales team. This is a top-down development and buildout. The candidate will create field sales planning, budgeting, call cycles, and pitches for herself/himself and for the team. The VP is also responsible for hiring the sales team which will report directly to the VP.
VP must be able to demonstrate the sales process by example and work actively in the field with her/his team. The VP directly reports to the president, with a dotted reporting to Chief Strategy and Regulatory officer.
VP is also responsible for spearheading the digital marketing, and print marketing efforts, there is a digital (in-house) team in place. The digital team will gather ideas from VP and design pieces according to the VP's guidelines. Before putting any marketing effort in motion, the VP will get approval from CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) and or the president.
VP is also responsible for appearing in conferences, trade shows, fairs, community gatherings, and other opportunities to build relationships and get the word out.
Must have Qualifications.
> Previous Experience managing a team of at least 12 sales reps.
> DME or Device selling experience is imperative and a must have.
> Must have at least 15 years of DME, and or Device selling experience in the
CURRENT GEOGRAPHY.
