Potelco, Inc., a subsidiary of Quanta West, LLC, was founded in 1965. We specialize in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services which include designing, estimating, material acquisition, project management, construction, emergency power restoration, system maintenance and similar services. Our expertise is in power, transmission, distribution, and substation projects. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Vice President, Business Operations, leads the development and execution of the company’s operational strategy, customer engagement, planning, initiatives, and goals to establish it as a leading provider of client Energy Transition and Utility Infrastructure solutions.

This position works closely with regional company leadership, operational leaders, existing and future customers, and industry partners to develop a plan to exceed customer expectations and capture the full market potential for Potelco. These plans are meant to ensure that departments are clear on the collective purpose and strategic intent and that operational execution is aligned with that intent. Plans are developed with historical performance data and client feedback. This leader will establish and facilitate a regular cadence of engagement with appropriate stakeholders to assess specific progress against plans and will drive the adjustment of plans with operational leaders, as needed.


The SVP will lead aligned operations and bid opportunities for large projects or programs.


ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES:

  • Appoints, directs, and coordinates department heads.
  • Develops annual and multi-year forward-looking operational plans and goals, including collective P&L, for the company with active input from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicates and works closely with stakeholders to ensure that all plans integrate and align to meet company objectives.
  • Performs other job-related duties as identified and/or assigned.
  • Oversees operations and has P&L responsibility across a multi-state region.
  • Shapes and enforces organization policies and standards, as needed.
  • Plans and tracks financial performance. Ensures that financial goals are appropriate to market opportunity and long-term client satisfaction, and that plans are sufficient to meet financial growth expectations.
  • Gains stakeholder input and performs operational reviews to drive the development of operational plans and initiatives to meet established KPIs across all functions of the business, including, but not limited to: customer satisfaction, safety, financial, operational, people, commercial development, and compliance.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant, progressive experience that includes driving operational excellence and process improvement and a demonstrated track record of successful people leadership and development.

Preferred

  • Successful experience managing and growing a P&L >$100M.
  • Experience in contract management and/or contract negotiations.
  • > 11 Years
