Responsibilities
Gallagher Re is one of the world’s leading reinsurance advisory and broking firms. We bring together sophisticated analytics capabilities, risk transfer and transactional expertise to provide advice and counsel to our clients. We help our clients interpret the data to guide their decisions surrounding the management of their risk portfolio.
We're seeking ambitious, analytical broking talent with demonstrated ability in insurance or consulting. This is a client facing role in a team environment that involves servicing existing accounts, as well as new business production and new product development.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure company, market and client related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate and attend underwriting and claims audits of insurance clients.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Join at least one Business Segment (i.e. Property, Casualty, Professional Liability, Surety, etc.) and participate on the development of content and product to assist production.
  • Work across broking teams, Actuaries and Cat Modelers to analyze portfolio level insurance risk.
  • Negotiate and place reinsurance treaties applying markets from the US, London, Bermuda and around the world.
  • Advise clients on reinsurance treaty structures to mitigate downside risk and improve capital efficiency.
  • Align with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Generate new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate internal resources, such as analytics, contracts and client services to provide solutions to client(s).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required.
  • Possesses a full level of technical knowledge and skills for insurance products and/or specialty lines and extensive knowledge and practice of assigned lines of business.
