HDT Bio is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Sr. Vice President, Operations position with a focus on internal and external operations. The successful candidate will be positioned within the Operations Team, using their experience in multi-party national and international research and development partnerships to complement and expand our existing activities.
The incumbent will act as a member of the HDT Bio executive team and will be responsible for effective coordination and collaboration amongst other members of this team. The incumbent will lead and/or liaise with a team of professionals in the areas of general administration, grants and contracts administration, accounting and finance, human resources, regulatory affairs, program management, facilities and safety. This position reports directly to HDT Bio’s Chief Executive Officer.
The incumbent will work closely with HDT Bio’s Preclinical and Clinical Research Teams and will collaborate with other members of a creative team, participating in the development of innovative next-generation products for cancer and infectious disease prevention and treatment.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management
- Ensures that the HDT Bio executive and management teams receive proper and timely information on essential enterprise operations, actively contributing to the early identification of challenges and organizing and managing teams to effectively mitigate problems
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision
- Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects
- Provides support for Clinical Research efforts, ensuring coordination among various stakeholders internal and external to HDT Bio
- Overseeing administration of third-party agreements to ensure successful completion of projects on time and within budget
- Works independently, as well as with members across various teams, to optimize, execute, and maintain legal agreements (Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Materials Transfer Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Service Contracts, etc.) including coordination with internal stakeholders to develop related research plans
- Lead and actively participate in development activities, specifically with regard to developing proposals to donors/foundations interested in advancing HDT ‘s mission
- Provides oversight, guidance, and mentoring to professionals within the HDT Bio Operations Team
- Provides support to HDT Bio Business Development Team
Qualifications:
- Ability to strive in a fast-paced, creative and goal-oriented environment and drive tasks and projects to completion under timelines and with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software applications
- High level knowledge of current immune therapeutics for cancer, including innate and adaptive immune strategies and related clinical trials
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Capable of working across business segments, demonstrating the flexibility to adapt and communicate to a diverse organization; a great communicator who embraces partnering to achieve success
Education/Experience:
- Advanced degree (PhD, JD, and/or MBA) with background in relevant scientific field.
- Extensive management experience in overseeing national and international research efforts, with excellent communication skills to guide and develop collaborations.
- Greater than 10 years practical experience in management within a research-based organization, with focus on alliance management and operations.
