Job Description
Purpose Of Role


The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the global digitalization strategy for the midsize biotherapeutics, inclusive of regulated (GMP) manufacturing company at multiple sites in the US/EU.


The goal of this role is to ensure digital technology is integrated into all aspects of the company's operations, improving efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.


The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing IT service delivery teams based in multiple sites and for the broad maintenance of the functionality, security, and accessibility of all technology resources within the Just Evotec Biotherapeutics organization.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic IT Leadership


  • Champion the development and execution of Just-Evotec’s IT vision and strategy in close collaboration with FA (Functional Area) leaders and the Global IT & Data leadership team. Transform this vision into actional objectives.


Infrastructure Stewardship


  • Lead the planning , implementation, and upkeep of Just-Ecotec’s IT infrastructure encompassing hardware, software, networks and security systems


Budget Oversight


  • Exercise accountability for the departments budget, ensuring successful project delivery within established timelines and financial parameters.


Digital Transformation


  • Spearhead the adoption of cutting-edge digital tools and platforms, including the establishment or enhancement of a centralized data management system


Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams spanning research and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and other departments. Identify and seize opportunities for process optimization, automation, and advanced data analytics.


Regulatory Compliance


  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory mandates, including FDA guidelines pertaining to part 11 and cGMPs, governing the use of digital technology within manufacturing and production processes. Uphold compliance with Evotec’s IT governance and compliance framework, covering Biosimilar, Novel, and Discovery programs.


Employee Enablement


  • Play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive training and support to staff across all departments, ensuring the effective utilization of digital tools and platforms to enhance operational efficiency.


Technological Vigilance


  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, meticulously assessing their potential impact on Just-Evotec’s operations.


Position Requirements


  • This position will be an onsite role within our Seattle or Redmond locations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 10-15+ years of experience in digital transformation, digital strategy, or related roles. Experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing digital strategies and projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a strong understanding and demonstrable experience with Computer system validation, cGMPs and FDA regulations.


The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $210,000 to $340,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
