The opportunity: The Senior RFP Analyst manages, directs, facilitates, responds to and completes complex Request for Proposals and Request for Information documents submitted by Employee Benefit Representatives on behalf of Prospect Clients with an emphasis on prospects with 2,000+ Employees.
The Senior RFP Analyst will support all Life, Dental, Disability, Absence / Leave and Worksite Products. They are responsible to facilitate the development of comprehensive responses while coordinating and working with internal business partners including; Distribution, Underwriting, Sales Support and Fulfillment.
How you will contribute:
Performance attributes include: strong writing and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, project management and issue resolution
  • Work effectively in a high volume environment with a strong focus on details.
  • Meet time service delivery standards.
  • Analyze opportunities in processes and proactively look for solutions
  • Represent the RFP team in cross functional projects and look for ways to find win-win processes across the organization
  • Build and maintain effective working relationship with a diverse group of internal partners.
  • Bring extensive experience strategizing and positioning cases greater than 5,000 lives
  • Complete RFP questionnaires of all sizes with an emphasis on the highest complexity and National Account cases
  • Act as the project manager and coordination with cross functional leaders and SMEs to deliver all requirements before due date.
  • Respond with customized, accurate, persuasive responses; collaborate with subject matter experts across all functions, Sales and the Underwriting team to write individualized responses that recognize each customer's unique benefit and service needs.
  • Utilize technology to efficiently respond to RFP Questionnaires and maintain high quality responses in the RFP database.
  • Support the growth and increased functionality of the RFP Response database: Partner with Subject Matter Experts to complete comprehensive annual reviews and add new responses on an ongoing basis as they come up in day-to-day work.
  • Creates proactive strategy plans for new prospects in partnership with partners across the organization (product, legal, compliance, underwriting, sales, marketing)
  • Increase the visibility of the RFP Unit: Participate in strategy calls and follow-up calls
  • Develop and provide RFP responses that help differentiate SLF in the marketplace.
  • Proactively supports the creation of new best practices to better position teammates for success
  • Commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive culture through mentoring/coaching others
  • Strong understanding of complex products including Absence and Dental
  • Must demonstrate a responsive, service oriented professional approach.
  • Contribute to articles to educate our organization.
What you will bring with you:

  • 3+ years of experience in proposal delivery within insurance industry

  • Must be detail oriented, well organized and have the ability to manage a high volume workload with competing demands
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities in offering solutions to customers
  • Demonstrated strategic approach to positioning proposal offerings in ways that meet a potential client’s need
  • BA/BS degree in marketing preferred, will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite tools including Excel and Word
  • User-centric thinker who can anticipate the user’s concerns, requirements and questions about the product and needs

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:
  • Northern region: $91,500-$137,300 annually
  • Central region: $85,600-$128,400 annually
  • Southern region: $81,200-$121,800 annually
If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $77,500-$116,200 annually.
If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $91,500-$137,300 annually.
If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $85,600-$128,400 annually.
