Medicaid Proposal Manager Jobs

This is a remote position that can be performed anywhere in the continental United States.

Aetna’s Medicaid Proposal Manager supports the retention and growth of our Medicaid membership during pre-RFP and active proposal development activities on complex, strategically significant, and highly visible bids. The Proposal Manager works directly with the Proposal Director to plan and organize proposal development activities to ensure clear understanding of the internal process and affiliated timeframes and the innerworkings of each bid. As a member of a dynamic group, they collaborate closely with the broader Proposal Team and cross-functionally with key contributors throughout the Aetna Medicaid organization. These activities help drive winning proposal responses and a One Team environment.

The Proposal Manager is responsible for following processes, using established tools, and resolving and/or escalating issues as appropriate.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

• Maximum: 130,000
• Minimum: 60,300

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5+ years effectively managing proposals with demonstrated positive outcomes
• Able to travel 15%
• Able to work evenings and weekends as needed/ as proposal schedule requires
• 2-5+ years knowledge of Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Professional.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptionally clear verbal and written communicator
• Curious, self-motivated problem solver
• Public sector and/or government healthcare proposal experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience with proposal management software helpful
• High level of attention to detail
• Prior proposal manager experience a plus
• Eastern/Central Time Zone preferable, but not required
• Project management and/or APMP certification(s) desired
• Experience managing multiple priorities; ability to adapt to changing priorities at times by identifying and executing on solutions that accomplish intended objectives.
• Strong collaborator: team player with a One Team mindset and approach
• Proven time management, strong organizational and scheduling skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in related field(s) or equivalent experience
