Senior Programmer Analyst - Aegon Am

Position Overview: Develops specifications for new and existing systems. Will work with clients to determine needs and requirements. Provide direction on projects and may supervise the tasks of other members of the project.
Responsibilities:

• Champions standards, SOX, and best practices.
• Demonstrates advanced understanding of software development and research tools
• Models business processes and data.
• Assists in creation and execution of test plans for integration and system tests.
• Analyzes and recommends tools.
• Designs systems, sub-systems or program. Coordinates with co-workers, clients, operations, technical support, and vendors.
• Analyzes system and program requirements for complex projects. Identifies multiple solutions to complex problems.
• Is a resource to others in solving problems and works independently. Prepares presentations and leads meetings.
• Plans and completes complex IT projects.
• Designs and develops specifications for sophisticated or multi-functional systems and data structures.
• Collaborates with clients to establish requirements, resolve problems, and perform testing.
• Designs, codes, tests, and documents programs and sub-systems.
• Develops specifications and technical design for sophisticated projects.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field with 3 years experience is also acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or technically related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience.

• Ability to resolve most of sophisticated problems and errors that occur for processes and applications in a division.
• Must be a great teammate.
• Superior problem-solving skills.
• Competence with Git.
• Basic understanding of AWS principles
• Basic understanding of Extract, Transform, Load tooling, such as Informatica, SSIS, and Snowflake
• Proficiency with modern C#, including Razor Pages, Entity Framework.
• Comprehension of modern development idioms like OOP, FP, inheritance, polymorphism, SOLID, generics, dependency injection.
• Ability to multi-task and meet time frames.
• Proficiency in modern web standards like HTML 5, CSS 3, and JavaScript/ECMAScript 6+.
• Basic competence with SQL and Oracle.
• Proficiency with web patterns, specifically REST and ODATA.
• Ability to work independently and with little direct supervision.
