Senior Auditor

We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Auditor at a Fortune 500. Co located in Downtown Boston, MA, 02116. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of public accounting and/or private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control areas.

This is a temporary role (9 months) and will pay up to $50.00 per hour (based on relative work experience) within a 40-hour work week. 2 days per week on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues.
• Plan audits, develop internal audit scopes and objectives, perform internal audit procedures, and prepare internal audit reports that reflect the results of the work performed.
• Internal Audit team conducts risk-based financial and operational audits, tests Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404 (“SOX-404”) controls and leads special projects and investigations in accordance with the team’s plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance.
• High proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 3+ years of public accounting and/or private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control areas.
• CPA, CIA or other applicable professional designation or advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission, SOX, and Institute of Internal Auditors Standards and Practice Advisories.
