Our Values: Agility Collaboration Communication Lifelong Learning Community Gratitude Responsibilities This role will plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and administer the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy. This position reports to the VP for People & Purpose, and will have 2 direct reports with expected team growth in the future. Strategic/Planning
Responsibilities
Collaborates with Executive Leadership to develop the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs. Oversees and implements training and development design for the company. Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. Administrative Responsibilities:
Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization through daily actions and communications. Manages and motivates HR team members;
provides clear direction and support, regular coaching and feedback, and recognizes and rewards team members for their accomplishments. Administers and oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; employee investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; health and safety; and training and development. This will include a combination of providing guidance, planning, and/or completion of day-to-day transactional items. Partners with management to provide HR guidance. Trains and coaches managers on the interpretation and application of HR policies and processes to ensure legal compliance and values alignment. Supports hiring managers in recruitment efforts ; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management. Facilitates HR portion of new hire orientation .
Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance. Manages workers comp claims and OSHA 300 injury log Maintains up-to-date industry knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management. Collaborates with VP For People and Purpose on departmental budget . Establishes credibility of HR at all levels of the organization by having a daily presence out on the manufacturing floor, being accessible, approachable, and available to management and the team. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the VP For People and Purpose. Up to 20% travel may be required .
