Position: Human Resources Manager
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Position summary:
The Human Resources Manager is a key strategic role and will lead the direction of the human resources function as well as manage the day-to-day support of the organization. This position impacts the health, engagement and productivity of our employee group and a servant-leader perspective is essential to success.
Essential functions:
- Refine the employee management process to ensure job descriptions, performance appraisals, compensation analytics, and coaching / discipline processes are linked and logical. Ensure managers are using these elements effectively.
- Audit IFCC’s compliance to all employment laws relevant to the business. Ensure compliance and educate impact team members.
- Create an employee development culture by building and launching training and development programs for management and internal employees.
- Work with benefits representatives to provide employee communications at least quarterly.
- Lead the development of the HR function as an important voice at the strategy table. Advocate for the employee (including temp staff employees) in business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Lead / participate in strategic initiatives as aligned with strengths and expertise.
- Work with internal management to build IFCC’s organizational capabilities and work to recruit staff to promote the growth of the business.
- Ensure all pre-screens and onboards are completed accurately and timely while monitoring and tracking progress.
- Lead / participate in systems upgrades as needed to serve the needs of the business.
- Directly support key clients with dedicated IFCC employees as their operational point of contact.
- Lead the employee relations effort for the company and involve / educate other management team members as appropriate. Consider both internal and temporary staff employees in this effort.
- Develop a slate of benefits for temporary employees, market these benefits, and train / educate employees on a regular basis.
- Support the HR team in streamlining and improving the pre-screening and onboarding experience for crew members and internal staff.
- Establish and coordinate an employee engagement plan to boost and strengthen employee happiness and retention. Measure and report the outcomes.
- Work with accounting to ensure benefits invoices are correct, paid on time, and without issue. Ensure payroll deductions are 100% correct at all times.
- Ensure IFCC has competitive, compelling and cost-effective benefits offerings for internal employees.
- Lead and manage the benefits enrollment processes, ensuring that all employees are well-educated and are properly enrolled on time.
- Ensure the Employee Handbooks are reviewed and published annually in a timely manner. Develop and publish needed updates as required.
- Ensure all employment reporting, such as EEO-1, OSHA logs, and 401(k) 5500 form, is completed and filed accurately and on time.?
- Lead the benefits renewal process culminating in a presentation to Leadership for approval on costs.
- Ensure all employee recordkeeping is compliant and accurate at all times.
Education and experience:
- 3+ years experience as an HR Manager
- 6+ years progressive experience in human resource management
- Familiarity with Paychex and Bullhorn is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in business administration
- SHRM certification is a plus
- Full competency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Experience with the staffing and recruiting industry is a plus
