Position Title: SENIOR DIRECTOR OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, & BELONGING (REMOTE)

Pay Grade: 18

Reports To: CEO

Salary: $140,000-$160,000

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership management and serve as advisor to Empowerment Resource Groups (ERG) programs and propel inclusion efforts of existing or new ERGs to broaden reach and effectiveness of such groups.
  • Drive prioritization of leadership and promotion opportunity for diverse employees and candidates
  • Act as SME for partners like Talent & Development specifically for the development of best in class DEI training and courseware. SME to ensure DEI principles and best practices are embedded in all leadership development programming.
  • Partner with CEO, VPHR, and VP of DE&I Compass Group NA to gather their insights and shape their roles as champions of an inclusive work environment.
  • Proactively identify, address and communicate project/program impact, risks and opportunities as well as determine alternative ways to empower leaders to achieve project/program goals.
  • Build deep understanding of how processes and systems currently work within the operation, and drive changes needed to embed inclusion into the day-to-day practices related to attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse workforce
  • Play an active role in the community, identifying and building relationships and partnerships that enable Compass to make a difference throughout the communities we serve.
  • Actively collaborate with Compass Group DEI team and client DEI team Identify and leverage organizational resources across our businesses, regions and functions to inform and support the DEI strategy.
  • Support DEI objectives with comprehensive measurements/metrics and conduct analysis to understand DEI insights, identify key areas of opportunity and recommend actions in support of Sectors and Compass Group overall.
  • Drive strategic and tactical leadership aligned with company values and inclusive culture on all DEI&B programs, initiatives, and strategies.
  • Champion best practices, stay abreast of DEI trends, and be a brand ambassador for Compass Group to support attracting talent and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Talent & Development, Communications, Supplier Diversity, and Sustainability teams to integrate the DEI&B initiatives into the overall talent, learning, and supplier strategies.

Requirements

  • Must be able to listen and influence with empathy and inspire others to be the difference.
  • Strong communication, executive presentation skills and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Experience in promoting an employer brand using both digital and traditional media.
  • Active Member of DEI groups with strong knowledge of diversity best practices, concepts, and programs.
  • Position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with at least Minimum 7-10 years experience in HR and/or Diversity and Inclusion partnership/leadership.
  • Strong relationship building skills as well as a collaborative spirit - must be able to partner with peers and colleagues throughout HR as well as the business.
  • Must possess a strong passion to provide a safe, diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all Compass Associates.
  • Competent in in navigating around sophisticated business issues and applying critical thinking concepts to solve for the business challenges all while managing competing priorities and goals.
