The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Office is seeking a good troublemaker that is inspired to shape our culture – from the way we work, to the work we do and the roles we play. Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Analyst will apply a progressive, data-driven, and project-based approach to the implementation of initiatives and solutions that improve the aspects of Equitable’s DE&I efforts.

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Analyst will provide expert advice, analysis and solutions to allow our DE&I efforts to develop and expand across our organization. Major focuses in the role include:

  • Partnering with the business and our Perform & Develop team to deploy DE&I organizational performance and development goals
  • Innovatively seeking to improve our inclusive culture and experience of our employees
  • Researching best practices for improving diversity, equity and inclusion in our organization
  • Analyzing and synthesizing people analytics data to measure the success of our initiatives and determining future initiatives
  • Diversifying our workforce by executing on attraction and advancement initiatives in partnership with our Attract & Join and Talent teams
  • Analyzing our policies, programs and practices to maintain equity across employees of all backgrounds
  • Presenting work product regularly to stakeholders for feedback
  • Providing day-to-day support to Employee Resource Groups

This role will report to the Head of Corporate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $127,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in DE&I, Human Resources, Recruiting, Talent Management, Advocacy Efforts, or other related fields
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information and exercise sound judgment and risk management
  • Experience using agile project management tools such as Azure Dev Ops is a plus
  • Intermediate to advance PowerPoint and Excel experience
  • Experience working within Scrum or other agile teams is a plus
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

Skills

Talent Analytics: Knowledge of methodologies, technologies and processes used to collect, analyze and utilize employee data (e.g. personality, attitudes, behaviors, performance); ability to enhance the company's competitive advantages through in-depth data analytics.

Business Case Justification: Knowledge of the how's and why's of preparing and justifying business cases and value propositions; ability to justify business expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to in a wide variety of situations.

Communication: Understanding the importance of insightful listening and communicating along with the ability to provide information and messages in a way that produces clarity and impact.

Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Web-Based Research: Knowledge of the benefits and tools used in web-based research; ability to use Internet and intranet-based facilities for information gathering.
