Job Summary
As the Director of Diversity & Belonging, you will lead the strategy, design, and execution of all related programs and initiatives. While demonstrating a true passion for the work you do, you will become a trusted advisor to the business while launching, growing, and continuously improving the DB initiatives of AYR Wellness through action. Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, program development, culture change management, and data analysis and reporting. The director will advance and highlight AYR's Diversity and Belonging strengths and ensure the delivery of high-quality initiatives and programming to internal and external stakeholders.
This role will work closely with our Company Leadership Team (CLT), VP Corporate Social Responsibility, People Ops Leadership Team, and VP Public Affairs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and empowers Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to develop annual goals and operating plans.
- Partner with external organizations and causes that align with our Diversity and Belonging strategy.
- Create the framework for initiatives that enhance diversity and belonging and execute plans that address important issues.
- Act as D&B expert advising senior leaders on effective strategies, approaches and plans for driving diversity and a culture of inclusion.
- Partner with senior leaders throughout the organization to collect input and shape their roles as champions of an inclusive work environment.
- Partner with business and people ops leadership on the design and implementation of communication plans to attract, retain, and promote a diverse workforce.
- Prepare executive-level reporting on key metrics and project status and share updates regularly with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with people ops to find opportunities for structural changes in employer branding, recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.
- Manage a budget that supports all D&B Council and ERG initiatives.
- Build training solutions that can be tailored for implementation across all population types.
- Develop, implement, and effectively communicate our Diversity & Belonging plan with input from key stakeholders and the executive leadership team.
- Manage the execution of assigned projects such as D&B training, ERG events, and executive ownership and participation at relevant internal events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, human resources, business or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
- Able to efficiently work in a hybrid (remote and in-office) environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communications along with presentation skills, required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years professional work experience in workplace diversity, belonging, equity, inclusion & culture, including direct experience in building and implementing successDiversity & Belonging strategy programs, required.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy.
- Proven experience in leadership, mentoring and coaching.
