Summary
Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in business management roles (e.g. GM of Business Unit, or Executive Lead of a Function). Drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics. May also be roles that are part of Corporate or Business Unit Kaizen Promotion Offices (KPO).Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in business management roles (e.g. GM of Business Unit, or Executive Lead of a Function) and Factory Lean Organizations. Drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics. This newly created role will have high level of visibility across the entire GEHC business.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the execution of relevant Hoshin Kanri breakthrough transformations.
- Coach leaders at various levels in improving daily management and problem solving
- Partner with business leaders to increase the organization's kaizen mindset and cadence.
- Must be able to travel approximately 50% of the time domestically and internationally.
- Support the roadmap of lean priorities and maturity of the GEHC organization.
- Coach and develop team members at all levels of the organization to build lean skills and become practitioners, with a focus not only on tools but on methods and most importantly on behaviors.
- Lead Lean Health Assessments for Patient Care Systems manufacturing facilities and spearhead improvement plans.
- Lead, facilitate and coach cross functional teams in improving processes and systems
- Partner with GEHC corporate lean team in continuously improving the lean method.
- Deploy and coach a best-in-class Tiered Daily Management system across all elements of the Patient Care Systems Integrated Supply Chain
- Apply and coach advanced lean methods to improve process stability, increase on-time delivery, reduce lead time and improve cash flow.
- In partnership with business leaders and other lean resources, increase the organization's lean maturity using the standard GEHC lean maturity model
- Maintain Kaizen Event Funnel & Roadmap for the Segment/Region/Support Function.
- Lead value stream optimization.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Exemplify a safety-first mindset and ensure a world class healthy and safe working environment.
- Act as change agent to bring about significant improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash targets, meeting stakeholder commitment, driven by significant improvements in Lean maturity.
- Serve as facilitator, educator, advocate, consultant, and accountability partner for Lean, driving the understanding and application of Lean principles, systems, and tools across the critical segments and functions.
Qualifications / Skills Requirements:
- Change agent, able to make the case for lean, demonstrate immediate impact and drive cultural change.
- Demonstrated ability to increase the organization's lean maturity.
- Critical thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting priorities.
- Advanced experience in deploying Tiered Daily Management systems and/or leading/coaching formal problem-solving processes highly desirable
- Highly collaborative; comfortable with constructive conflict and debate normally associated with change.
- Proven to be effective in driving outcomes in large, matrixed organizations – understands how to navigate geographies, cultures, relationships, etc. Can drive work around the world because they are accountable, trustworthy, credible, committed, and intellectually agile.
- Lean practitioner, capable of facilitating kaizen events and coaching core tools such as Daily Visual Management, Scientific Problem Solving, Value Stream, Optimization, Standard Work and Transactional Process Improvement.
- Impactful communicator from the shop floor to the boardroom.
- Demonstrated ability in solving complex problems and transforming business performance and process through the application of Lean techniques
Basic Qualifications
- BS or BA Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience Leading / Improving / Transforming within Factory, Supply Chain, Supplier Performance.
- Minimum of 10 years mastering a variety Lean and Growth-related tools such as: Hoshin Kanri / Strategy Deployment, Problem Solving, Daily Management, Standard Work, Value Stream / Process Mapping, TPS methodology, Toyota Kata.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave.
