Job Description

Pacific's engineering and manufacturing sector has been retained by an industrial leader to help support the improvement of a strategically significant manufacturing site. Our client is a global leader currently employing about 8,000 employees, where they have prioritized significant investment in facility upgrades over the next three years.

We are sourcing for a Lean Engineer to help implement best practices, develop improvement techniques to solve problems and build new capabilities.

This position is highly visible as it allows for areas to implement and drive process improvements at a key manufacturing site. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in lean and six-sigma methodologies. This person should be highly motivated, efficient in practice, and experienced in leadership with successful continuous improvement experience. This role offers significant progression within Lean Management.

Your Responsibilities:

· Partner on key projects applying various continuous improvement techniques

· Coach and provide efficient training to various team members

· Communicate with other departments to identify areas of opportunities to drive high quality results

· Manage all Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement efforts within operations

· Implement plans/programs for facility modifications and revisions

· Provide lean assessments and improvement initiatives while partnering with leadership to effectively implement change

· Create problem-solving teams and supports to drive high-quality changes and process improvements


Your Profile:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other applicable fields

· 2-3 years of successful leadership in Continuous Improvement and Lean/Six Sigma

· Green Belt certification: Lean or Six Sigma

· Experience within continuous improvement programs

· Experience participating in Kaizen events performing proper functions/preparation to lead and conduct lean tools

· Comfortable communicating and partnering with key stakeholders

· The ability to travel up to 15% of the time

· Must be highly strategic and hands-on; the ability to gain the trust and buy-in of the front line
