Jr. Lean Production Engineer

Reports To: Department Manager

Role and Responsibilities: This position is an integral part of the production team. Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to below.

• Define and deploy working standards in the production workshop (communicate rules, machine set-up, autonomous maintenance).
• Support production supervisors in using tools to follow and improved and exceed production goals.
• Manage and oversee lean production projects (5S, SMED) by leading and driving the production team to achieve results.
• Analyze current processes, develop and and implement improvement strategies by utilizing continuous improvement tools & resources.

Education: Bachelors' Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience. Engineering discipline of study is strongly desired.

Skills and Experience:

• Adept in MS Excel; must be experienced in using V-lookups, pivot tables, macros, and formulas.
• Proficient in MS Word; must be able to create and modify standard documents.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• 1-2 years of experience in process analysis and continuous improvement is preferred.
• Strong people and team building skills. Must have the ability to lead, influence, and develop the team.
• Proficient in MS Outlook; must be able to manage emails and organize calendars.
