This is a remote (work-from-home) position to be filled in the United States
You will partner with our client’s category management team (one of the top food manufacturers in the world) to deliver exceptional service while building and nurturing long-term relationships and achieving business financial goals. Inspire your team of managers, analysts, automation developers, and space planners to deliver category and space analytics, insights, and optimized assortment and space recommendations to retailers nationally.
You will facilitate your team's professional development to encourage career growth and retention. Also work with cross-functional teams to develop relevant processes, strategies, and initiatives to drive positive results for Acosta, your client, and supported retailers.
What will you do?
- Participate in task forces and other miscellaneous projects as requested by the leadership team.
- Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, and develop associates to increase knowledge, skills, and quality of outputs.
- Create, maintain, disseminate, and/or generate excitement for tools to facilitate everyday business management and opportunity analysis across team(s) to support client(s) and/or customer(s) objectives.
- Foster associate engagement with regular team meetings to drive connectivity, discuss responsibilities, encourage best practice sharing, etc.
- Provide leadership and support for the team by leveraging business processes to ensure efficient operation of the organization, while providing deliverables that support positive results for our client(s) and customer(s).
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop relevant processes, strategies, and initiatives to drive positive results for Acosta, client(s), and/or customer(s) business.
- Build, maintain, facilitate positive relationships and open communication with client(s), customer(s), and other Acosta associates.
- Manage revenue goals, identifying new business opportunities, closing gaps.
Education Requirements:
- Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement
- High School Diploma/GED
- Category Management Certification Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Work Experience Requirements:
- 1 – 3 years of management experience
- 5 – 8 years of related work experience

- A solid working knowledge of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a strength in the area responsible for managing (including data sources, tools, concepts, etc.).
- Customize and adapt communication and discussion to appeal to the specific interest, need and level of audience.
- Consider long-term consequences and implications when planning initiatives and resources based on industry trends and organizational goals.
- Accurately analyze complex issues, builds plans to resolve, including contingencies, and leads team in the execution of resolution.
- Lead others in the execution of projects and initiatives, clearly communicating goals/expectations, assigning tasks to others, and setting effective measures of results.
