BODYARMOR is looking for an Innovation Category Analyst - Retail to join our team.

The Category Analyst -Retail is responsible for supporting channel specific selling strategy and category management at BODYARMOR. This role leverages our various knowledge sources and systems to provide robust and fact-based insights that influence decision making at our largest regional customers. The ultimate objective of this role is to be a strategic partner to Account Managers by providing them the strategic guidance, tools and support they need to overachieve against their sales goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate and disseminate weekly / monthly state of the business reporting:

Maintain customer data portals as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness of these reports.

Collaborative communication – share the data along with high-level observations / questions.

• Assist in the selling process:

Support the selling process across Large Format customers by…

Creating deliverables using syndicated and proprietary insights tools.

Building / securing current retailer planograms and working with Category Manager and order-of-entry to build planogram recommendations.

Preparing first draft PPT presentations focusing on accuracy and completeness.

Updating corporate selling tools / presentations / slides as needed.

• Learn by doing…

Answer ad hoc business questions by using insights tools such as Nielsen, Numerator, Circana, etc.

Leverage internal and external resources (web-based, client support, etc.) to advance skillset.

Train sales on the use of Category Management tools as needed.

Conduct business reviews for assigned customers and share with the sales lead.

Evaluate promotional effectiveness for large scale promo events.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Team player with exceptional leadership, communication and management qualities
• 0-2 years' experience in sales, category management, shopper insights & strategy required
• Demonstrated capacity for big picture, strategic thinking, creative thinking and attention to detail
• Minimal travel required by plane or car annually
• Expert technical skills – Scan systems, Panel systems, trade funds management software, excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.
• Location within the Bentonville, AR area (or within 50 miles) required
• Field sales experience a plus
