Senior Database Developer Jobs

Full Visibility is seeking a Senior Database Developer to work in Quantico, VA with remote flexibility two days a week. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

The Senior Database Developer will be responsible for designing and developing robust, complex, and high-performance databases for use with software development projects. The candidate should have significant experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases; and be able to provide schema architectural vision and design for system databases as well as supporting developers by tuning database queries and developing stored
procedures where appropriate.

The Senior Database Developer will develop the overall architecture and schema of the databases; monitor database performance and efficiency; and provide guidance to developers in the development of SQL queries. The successful candidate will review and tune queries as needed; provide troubleshooting and support for escalated operational issues; support data loading and data migration activities; document standards and best practices for use by the developers when designing database interactions; enforce standards; and design and develop stored procedures.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience Microsoft SQL developing, including SQL, T-SQL, Stored procedures, functions, and Views
• At least five years of experience developing and maintaining complex and high-performance MS SQL database architectures and schemas
• At least five years of experience monitoring and tuning databases for high-performance and efficiency
• At least five years of experience troubleshooting and resolving database and related issues
• At least two years of experience creating and modifying ETL and SSDT scripts
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Experience developing and maintaining documentation, including standards and best practices
• At least two years of experience using a reporting engine such as ActiveReports
