Requirements...

• Experience performing all aspects of Oracle database administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance), ensuring availability, performance, and security within the Oracle, WebLogic, and Java environment.
• Experience analyzing, tuning, monitoring, and optimizing performance for Oracle databases.
• Experience with backup and recovery database management/strategies
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong team interaction and collaboration skills.
• Experience collaborating with development and infrastructure teams on database-related support, including troubleshoot problems, and provide technical guidance on database design, schema changes, and performance optimizations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels in an organization.
• Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.

Desired Skills:

• Microsoft Cloud certification.
• Experience with IaaS, PaaS.
• Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs or other Federal government agencies.
• Strong knowledge of IT development, engineering, integration, and testing processes.
• Experience with M8 supercluster.
• Experience with Golden Gate, Data Guard.
• Hands on Cloud and On-prem database infrastructure and operational solutions.
• Experience with Oracle Database migration from On-prem to the Cloud and cross platform migration.
• Azure Cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience with setting up Database DR.
• Experience with WebLogic, JMS Queues, High Availability (Gridlink, Scan listeners).
• 5 years’ experience with writing PLSQL stored procedures.
• Experience with Oracle RAC.
• Experience within an Agile environment.

Years of Experience: 10-15 years of experience with Oracle database administration desired.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required (or 8 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).

Location: Remote within the United States. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting as needed.

Clearance: Ability to obtain a government clearance.
