Job Description

Project Description

Be a part of our team and help provide primary support for our client's Oracle databases by managing, planning and designing new Oracle implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new and improved
  • Ensure a stable and secure database environment.
  • Plan and design new Oracle implementations, including database
  • Provide primary support for UnitedHealth Group Oracle databases.
  • Identify potential service-level problems before they occur
  • Provide standardization and consistency across environments.
  • Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems and concerns
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic
  • Apply database management consulting skills and gathers user
  • Design, implement, and monitor database functionality to ensure stable
  • Design storage strategies and establish standards for complex database
  • Provide on-call support and answer severity calls, problem resolution.

Skills

Must have

  • Experience with Oracle DBMS and DB monitoring and tuning.
  • Proven SQL tuning experience.
  • Experience with RAC clustering a plus.
  • At least 5 years experience working with Oracle databases (strong
  • Experience with server optimization and consolidation.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with remote teams.
  • Experience with a systems development or project methodology.
