As an ETL/Database Developer at Octo, you will apply expertise in database development and data modeling design, analysis and implementation to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models and perform data conversion, data integration and data mining for an enterprise-class data warehouse/business intelligence (BI)/advanced analytics ecosystem. Must have experience within GIS services as well as recent experience within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Business Intelligence Services Line (BISL).
In this role, you will work with stakeholders and authoritative data sources/repositories (e.g., the VA Corporate Data Warehouse/CDW) to develop one-time or recurring ETL/ELT data feeds, refine and condition data sources, and support sustainment and enhancement to the database.

Responsibilities...
- Access to Care (AtC): Power BI reporting: site management, API management, site security, data refreshes through Azure Data Factory and automation. project management.
- National Surveillance Tools (NST): maintain and enhance data mart, monitor and troubleshoot ETL and data profiling jobs.
- Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (OMHSP)/PERC and Electronic Quality Measures (EQM)): Maintain and enhance databases/enclave, maintain and enhance web applications, support and update curated data objects, perform data integration from desperate sources, and monitor and troubleshoot data distribution jobs.

Years of Experience: Requires at least 6-8 years relevant experience, including demonstrable experience as ETL developer using Power BI in an enterprise-level data warehouse environment. Must have recent experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs and BISL services.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area. 8 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Location: Remote within the United States.
Clearance: Ability to obtain government clearance.
