JiffyShirts.com is the leading distributor of blank apparel supporting millions of crafters in North America. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with expertise in e-commerce to join our dynamic team.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting large-scale data sets related to our customer base, payment systems, pricing, logistics, and customer cohorts. Your insights and recommendations will directly contribute to optimizing our e-commerce operations and enhancing customer experiences. Candidates will be expected to have an established background in data science, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You should enjoy diving deep into complex problems, and center around metrics to define objectives, measure progress and meet goals.
Responsibilities
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with data science initiatives and drive actionable outcomes.
- E-commerce Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to develop data-driven strategies that drive e-commerce growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase revenue. Provide recommendations for A/B testing, personalization, and targeted marketing campaigns.
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from large-scale datasets, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies related to customer behavior, payment systems, pricing strategies, logistics, and customer cohorts.
- AI-Driven Reporting Tools: Leverage your expertise in the latest AI-driven reporting tools to develop scalable and automated solutions for analyzing and visualizing data. Create insightful dashboards, reports, and metrics that provide actionable insights to various stakeholders.
- Data Engineering: Work closely with data engineers to optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient and accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Familiarity with tools such as Spark and Redshift is required to process and analyze large datasets efficiently.
- Statistical Analysis and Modeling: Apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to build predictive models and algorithms that drive business decisions. Develop customer segmentation models, churn prediction models, and pricing optimization models to improve business outcomes.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of ecommerce operations, including customer behavior, marketing strategies, and revenue optimization. Ability to translate business objectives into data science initiatives and provide actionable insights.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on ecommerce and large customer bases. Demonstrated experience working with payment systems, pricing strategies, logistics, and customer cohorts.
- Proficiency in using AI-driven reporting tools for data analysis and visualization. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R. Experience with data processing tools like Spark and databases like Redshift.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively present complex data-driven insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and predictive modeling. Experience developing and implementing models for customer segmentation, churn prediction, and pricing optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
