Senior Accounting Manager Jobs

As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will join the Accounting team reporting directly to the Controller. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring an accurate and timely month-end close as well as direct responsibility for maintaining, developing and documenting appropriate internal controls throughout the Company.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Identify process improvement opportunities and leading process improvement efforts to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency including optimizing the NetSuite implementation.
• Supervise and direct, and review the work of one or more direct reports.
• Review, approve, and prepare certain balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy of postings.
• Oversee the processing of payroll, accounts payable and other disbursements
• Special projects as assigned.
• Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
• Support with ASC 606 revenue accounting and stock based compensation accounting
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Work closely with the team to complete annual external audit and tax filings
• Day-to-day management of Staff Accountant; actively working to promote and recognize performance and keeping up to date on the team's overall activities.
• Update and maintain general accounting financial policies and procedures and work with management and employees to ensure compliance.
• Oversee the daily general accounting activities to monitor the corporation's general ledger to ensure an accurate and timely month-end, quarter end and year-end close.

What You Bring to OneStudyTeam

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or relevant years of experience

• Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with NetSuite or other accounting software.
• Experience with Workday payroll or other similar payroll systems
• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Some previous managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
