What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Corporate Marketing, Global Events
Location: New York/Hybrid
Expected start date to end date: June 2023 – September 2023
SAP’s Global Events Team designs, manages, and executes a portfolio of global Tier 1 events (both in-person and virtually) which engage customers and potential customers in meaningful dialogue and provide a forum for the exchange of information on new technologies, innovative business strategies and industry trends in an effort to further SAP’s sales, marketing and corporate objectives.
We are looking for a student/intern that can help us further refine our future event strategy and overall event portfolio, using event performance data, industry and technology trends to provide a solid base for future year event portfolio recommendations. This would include the following components:
- Conducting thorough market research on competitors and industry peers’ event strategies to identify trends, best practices, and whitespace opportunities.
- Independently manage projects within the Global Events team, including internal communications and cross-functional collaboration.
- Assist in planning and coordinating various in-person and digital events, including owned first-party customer events and sponsored third-party events.
- Create a shared, tracking document to capture event improvements and resulting impact to the business (cost savings, event efficiencies, event standardization, revenue growth opportunities).
- Research emerging technologies, event formats and event strategies to help the team stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in event marketing.
- Use sourced data to inform the “Case for Change” for global events using storytelling as a tangible way for the team and stakeholders to consume what the data is telling us

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 15 - 62 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
