CNBC is seeking a high-performing Marketing Manager to join CNBC Events’ Sales Marketing team to deliver unmatched pre-sale support through the creation of innovative, integrated, money-themed marketing programs for a stellar roster of new and existing clients. We’re looking for a dynamic team player who will thrive in a fast-paced, hardworking entrepreneurial atmosphere.


Reporting into the Director of Event Sales Marketing, the Manager of Event Sales Marketing will be responsible for the development and presentation of revenue-generating marketing solutions for clients. Critical to this role is the ability to effectively collaborate with NBCU marketing counterparts such as Development and Marketing, as well as CNBC Events Sales Directors and the wider NBCU Ad Sales Team, to develop valuable, client-first programs. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and visual storytelling skills are a must, along with high proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (particularly PowerPoint) and team collaboration tools / sales programs such as SharePoint, Highspot, and Salesforce.


What You’ll Do


  • Collaborate with NBCU Ad Sales and Marketing counterparts to integrate CNBC Events opportunities into larger, portfolio-wide proposals, and participate in both internal alignment meetings and external pitches/presentations when applicable to serve as the CNBC Events brand expert
  • Support the Director of Event Sales Marketing in the development of client-first CNBC Events marketing solutions in partnership with Production, Editorial, Audience and Councils teams
  • Manage all aspects of the pre-sale process, including tracking pitches, confirming sponsor benefit availability, and cross-checking competitive conflicts
  • Monitor trends in RFPs and recommend new event concepts that further CNBC editorial priorities and revenue goals, taking ownership of the development of proposed concepts
  • Spearhead the creation of CNBC Events marketing collateral including but not limited to custom client pitch decks, one-sheets, and treatments, as well as generic capability materials
  • Partner with both CNBC Events Sales Directors and CNBC Events Partner Success teams to ensure unmatched client service, from pre-sale efforts through transition to post-sale


Qualifications


What you'll bring:


  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple manner
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, with an eye for visual storytelling
  • Experience working successfully in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams
  • Creative, solutions-based thinking, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments
  • Close attention to detail
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales marketing, ideally with prior experience in B-to-B events and cross-platform sales marketing including TV, digital and social
  • Intellectual curiosity about and passion for finance/business
  • Collaborative and a team player
  • Ability to thrive in a in a fast-paced work environment
  • Interest and knowledge of digital technologies and current design tools
