Job Description

:
SAFETY COORDINATOR
  • Promote safety and prevent injuries pertaining to work-related causes.
  • Inspect all export ULD's prior to loading on the aircraft.
  • Directly inspect the Aircraft and surroundings upon arrival and take pictures for and dents and/or damages.
  • Inspect all equipment two hours prior to aircraft arrival.
Awareness
  • Evaluate practices and coordinate safety committee meetings.
  • Write and complete flight reports with pictures in the absence of the ramp manager or supervisor.
  • Oversee distribution of safety materials.
  • Provide feedback to management.
  • Promote safety on ramp operations and provide feedback to management.
General Duties
  • Load/unload cargo onto/off of the aircraft.
  • Connect and operate ground support equipment.
  • Check to ensure all ramp equipment is working properly prior to arrival of aircraft.
  • Process mail at the post office, as required.
  • Perform FOD (Foreign Object Debris) removal from the ramp.
  • Marshalling aircraft.
  • Based on contracts, off load and transport mail from cargo facility to the JFK Post Office.
Physical Requirements
  • Must have the ability to routinely kneel, crawl, climb, bend, and push/pull/lift
70 lbs.
